“Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein”
Rev 1:3.“God is not the author of confusion”
1Cor 14:33, but rather the author of perfection.“Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgement”
1Cor 1:10.
Like all Holy Spirit inspired scripture1, apocalyptic end-time passages2 are to be understood3 in an orderly precise manner4.
Anyone, who has even done the most rudimentary study of bible prophecy, knows there is no question that God has foretold5 the events of the last generation6 in a mysterious7 puzzle format. Even secular commentaries note this obvious fact.
"Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord"
Is 1:18. Simple logic, which God does allow, dictates that this puzzle is to be put together, in a concise clear sensible picture, for all God’s elect 8 to see and hear9. I’m sure you’ll find that this study guide “I Don’t Want This City” is, at the least, a unique effort to do just that.“And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish, because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie; That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”
“Take heed that no men deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many”;
and in Matt 24:11“And many false
prophets shall arise, and shall deceive many”;
and yet again in Matt 24:24“For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”
“Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel”
Eph 6:11-19. The only way to put on this armor is obviously through the pursuit of spiritual wisdom, knowledge and understanding12. We must don this armor in preparation for the battle which is even now well underway for the souls of men13. Through prayer and study14, we shall attain this godly armor.“Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee”
Rev 3:3, for we know that God will not be mocked15.“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you”
Mt 7:7.
1 2Pet 1:21 “For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost”; 2Tim 3:16 “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness”
2 Matt 24:3 “And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?”
3 Matt 24:15 “When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, [whoso readeth, let him understand]”; Rev 13:18 “Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six”
4 Is 28:9-10 “Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line”
5 Matt 24:25 “Behold, I have told you before”
6 Matt 24:33-34 “So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled”
7 Rev 17:5 “And upon her head was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH”
8 Matt 24:22 “the elects”
9 Rev 13:9 “If any man have an ear, let him hear”; 1John 4:6 “We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error”
10 Ga 5:9 “A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump”; Matt 16:11-12 “How is it that ye do not understand that I spake it not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees. Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees”
11 Rev 3:15-16 “I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth”
12 Pr 2:6 “For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding”
13 Rev 18:13 “And cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men”
14 2Tim 2:15 “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth”
15 Ga 6:7 “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap”; 2Chron 36:16 “But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the Lord arose against his people, till there was no remedy”
16 1John 3:3-10 “And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure. Whosoever commiteh sin transgresseth also the law. And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother”
17 Acts 10:44-45 “While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Spirit”
18 Heb 11:6 “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him”
This third edition sights current world events that appear to point true remnant seekers in the direction of placing the final pieces in the puzzle John laid out for us in the Book of Revelation. Are the answers to complete God's puzzle here now?
